Nothing Says Love Like Green Chocolate & Cupcakes!

OK – no, not literally the color green of course!  I am talking the wonderful world of eco-friendly (and sometimes even healthy) chocolate and cupcakes!

Getting ready for a wedding will always mean at some point you will talk about chocolate!   The #1 wedding favor for couples to give to guests is chocolate.  So if you plan on giving out individual chocolates, cupcakes or chocolate at a candy bar…keep it eco-friendly!

Here are a few of my favorite eco-friendly cupcake masters from across the country:

Washington DC: Hello Cupcake

Of course some of the bakeries above also do wedding cakes.  A chocolate wedding cake is always welcome by guests!  But go ahead and get the gluten free layer as well!

If you are not the cupcake kinda gal and would like nothing more than to shop around online, here are few quick links for finding eco-friendly chocolate (and other assorted sundries):

Ecoexpress.com

Worldwidechocolate.com

For less chocolate and more various types of candy – think about a fun and whimsical candy bar.  Find a wedding professional in your area that has the glassware and then get the candy locally.  Have a Dutch Market near your or a local flea or artisan market?  I am betting there will be someone there selling their locally made candies and chocolates…now that is truly eco-friendly!
